Another heads up

Unfortunately my App decided to drop my latest blog entries when I wanted to sync them, so instead I lost them. Great.
Anyway, here a short summery of what I was up to.
As you have noticed my Blogs entries are still back in February!

So I am in Australia at the moment and have been working on a shipyard in Sydney for over a month. Now I am traveling again. Till today (11.5.) Silja traveled with me from Sydney to Brisbane, from where I am writing this.

I am doing well and like being on the road again. Now Silja has left and I will be traveling up to Cairns (a city further north on the east coast) alone, or maybe I'll find someone to tag along =)

Short heads up

Dear family and friends,

I wish you a happy holiday season! I hope everyone is having a great time and will be with beloved ones during the upcoming days. I am currently in New Zealand and will be with some friends from university for christmas and new years, so I'm set ;-)

Unfortunately traveling so much and with other people is taking it's toll. I am finding less and less time to keep up with the blog. So I have decided to start writing about the current events and then, when I have more time, uploading older posts about Nepal and Bali. I have some notes, hoping I will be able to be able to tell about my adventures as much as I was, while I have been in India.

A short summary: After my friends left Nepal (and we finished hiking around and visiting some more villages) I was for a few days in Kathmandu and visited several sites and also the Chitwan National Park. A great place, more info to come ;-)
About middle of november I flew to Bali, Indonesia. Here I met Lea, another friend from university and we hung around, travelling different places and meeting other cool people we spent time with. On Bali I tried out surfing! And it was amazing!! I loved it and hope that I will be able to do some more in NZ and Australia. Though it will probably be way more expensive :D

Then I headed out to a more western country and where I am at the moment: New Zealand! I landed in Auckland, met Silja, my travel mate in Australia from 3 years ago and did everything I needed to be ready for work in New Zealand. About a week later I got my tax number and now I only have to find a job!
Then I headed down south, spent a week in Wellington and 3 days ago I took the ferry to the south island. And here I am: In Christchurch, the city which was so massively destroyed by earthquakes in 2010/11. I will head down to Dunedin in a few days (a students city) and celebrate christmas there. Then we'll see!

So I will now try and upload a few posts about New Zealand and then catch up when I don't feel like socializing :P

Moin Allerseits,
so unterwegs ist nicht immer (funktionierendes) WLan zu finden und ohne ist das hochladen manchmal schwer, daher ein wenig Geduld! Ich schreibe Offline vor und veröffentliche dann wahrscheinlich 1-2 Beiträge gleichzeitig! :-)

Neuester Stand; Ich bin momentan in Hampi, einer Ruinenstadt (zerstört im 17. Jahrhundert) und für Hindus ziemlich heilig. Die Umgebung wird Kishkinda genannt - das Affenkönigreich. Hanuman (der indische Affengott) ist hier geboren und Szenen des Ramayana haben hier stattgefunden (Rama hat nach etwas gesucht und HAnuman getroffen oder so)
Mittwoch den 14. September mache ich mich auf den Weg nach Goa und werde hoffentlich besseren Internet Zugang haben!

Update: Currently I am in Hampi, an old city of ruins (destroyed in the 17th century) and pretty holy to Hindus. The surroundings are called Kishkinda - the monkey kingdom, where Hanuman (the indian monkey god) was born and scenes from the Ramayana have taken place (Rama looking for something and meeting Hanuman or something like that)
On wendsday (14th of september) I will be heading to Goa and probably have better wifi connection!

Short info: Because Kodaikanal has been such a big influence on my I have written 2 Posts. One is much shorter and contains less emotional stuff, memories and detailed descriptions than the other post.
So the post is a short summary of what I did in Kodaikanal while the other one expresses more my feelings and emotions while being there and seeing the places of my childhood. And the long post will be only english (for now)
Generally I have decided to keep writing mainly in english and no longer german (except people ask me to translate, then I will do so).

Vorwort: Da Kodaikanal so ein großer Einfluss auf mich war, habe ich 2 Beiträge verfasst. Einer ist wesentlich kürzer und enthält weniger Emotionen, Erinnerungen und detaillierte Beschreibungen als der andere Beitrag.
Also ist der kurze Beitrag eine wesentlich kürzere Zusammenfassung, von dem was ich in Kodaikanal getan habe während der andere meine Gefühle und Emotionen mehr ausdrückt, während ich Orte meiner Kindheit wieder besuche. Bisher ist der Lange nur auf English (für jetzt)
Insgesamt habe ich mich dazu entschieden nur noch auf Englisch zu schreiben und nicht mehr auf Deutsch (es sei denn ich werde danach gefragt die Beiträge zu übersetzen, dann werde ich es tun).
